Thornova Solar is launching a new TOPCon module series exclusively for utility-scale projects. Based on the larger G12 silicon wafers, the TS-BGT66 and TS-BWT66 modules offer output power ranging from 695 to 720 W, with conversion efficiencies of 22.4% to 23.2%.
Thornova offers a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty on modules sourced from its manufacturing facility in Vietnam.
Thornova G12 Series 720-W modules leverage the key advantages of Thornova TOPCon modules in higher efficiency, output power and reliability. N-type solar cells, devoid of boron-oxygen pairs, virtually eliminate light-induced degradation (LID) compared to PERC solar cells, resulting in a remarkable reduction in power attenuation to approximately 0.15% in Thornova 720-W modules , significantly lower than the 1.35% attenuation observed in PERC modules.
The TS-BGT66-G12 is a bifacial module with double glass and a weight of 38.5 kg. With 2.0 mm heat-strengthened glass, anti-reflective coating and another 2.0 mm glass layer on the back, it has an open-circuit voltage between 47.23 V and 47.98 V and a short-circuit current of 18.68 A to 18.79 A.
TS-BWT66-G12 is a double-sided module with single glass and a transparent white mesh back plate. The module weighs 33.9 kg (74.74 lbs), features a 3.2 mm anti-reflective coating and is made of high transmittance tempered glass, with an open-circuit voltage between 46.48 V and 46.73 V, and a short circuit current from 18.68 A to 18.98 VA
Both modules measure 2,384 mm x 1,303 mm x 35 mm. The temperature coefficient is -0.29% per degree Celsius. They can operate at a system voltage of 1,500 V and function well in a variety of climates, with temperatures between -40°C and 85°C. The annual linear degradation over 30 years is 0.4%, with a maximum degradation in the first year of 1.0%.
