Nomad Solar Energy has developed a line of mobile container zones of solar PV generators, pre-wired for temporary and off-grid use, available in units of 47 kW and 107 kW.
The Spanish solar pv generator manufacturer Nomad Solar Energy, a subsidiary of project developer of Zonne energy plants Lone Lighthouse, has launched a line of containers of container zones.
The Nomad Energy Box is a pre-wired solar PV array integrated into a shipping container with a retractable folding rack mechanism that rolls on the ground that corresponds to the site.
It is equipped with an inverter and designed for implementation and dismantling within 3 hours, according to the manufacturer. For example, if the weather conditions are serious, the array can be folded back into the container.
Typical installations are humanitarian, military, construction, remote camps, off -grid islands or mining places.
The generator is supplied in two sizes: either 47 kW in an array of 3m x 112 m, or 107 kW in a version of 6.1 mx 112 m. The arrays can be split alternative into 56 m long layout, instead From 112 m, with respective widths of 7 m and 13 m. Battery storage is optional.
The smaller version has 92 solar panels with nominal power of 465 W at 15 degrees tilt, a three-phase Huawei Sun2000-50ktl-M3-Omsverter and a weight of 6,500 kg.
Two more products are in the pipeline, a larger unit of 220 kW and another 107 kW unit with an integrated battery.
The company says that no previous land preparation, permits or specialized workers are required on the spot. The containers are CSC certified and can be transported by sea or land.
Sold as an alternative to traditional diesel generators, or to at least shorten their operating time, the Nomad Energy Box can also be used to supplement an existing but unstable schedule, according to the manufacturer.
