Solmicrogrid announced the completion of a Microgrid project at a Chick-Fil-A Quarry Creek in Oceanside, California. Solmicrogrid usually uses a combination of solar storage on solar energy, on-site battery energy and generators to enable reliable and continuous capacity for its customers.
The project in this Restaurant Chick-Fil-A comprises an 81-KWh battery energy storage system and has a 112 kW of solar panels consisting of awning and modules mounted on the ground. The components of the project are all governed by an advanced energy management system that optimizes performance and maximizes the synergies between the technologies.
Due to the unique, sloping terrain of the location, Solmicrogrid approached the ground-mounting installation with a technique specially designed for rocky slopes-with the help of ground screws instead of standard-casting pedestals. Microgrid projects, among other things, implement strategically distributed energy sources to lower the energy bills. The OceanSide project is expected to deliver about a third of the annual energy needs of the restaurant with a 10% discount for the schedule.
“The combination of solar and battery storage that we have provided will help Chick-Fil-A to lower energy costs and at the same time achieve sustainability goals,” said Kirk Edelman, CEO of Solmicrogrid. “We are grateful for the opportunity to offer chick-film-a with renewable energy with a discount.”
The latest performance from Solmicrogrid and Chick-Fil-A comes after successful MicroGrogrid implementations at local owner-optimized locations at Chick-Fil-A Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa, California, and Chick-Fil-a March Lane on i-5 in Stockton.
“The investment of Chick-Fil-A in the administration of solar energy-driven microgrids, in collaboration with Solmicrogrid, shows our dedication to environmental management,” said Peden Young, a main program ahead of the sustainability team at Chick-Fil-A, Inc. “Harnies of renewable energy in our restaurants reduces our environmental footprint, which is our planet for our planet” for our planet for our planet. “
