A new solar panel recycling company is starting up in Yuma, Arizona. Solar eWaste solutions has opened a factory on a five-hectare site that should process 200,000 panels annually.
Solar eWaste Solutions is led by Dwight Clark, a US veteran and certified hazardous materials manager with 25 years of experience in electronic waste management.
“Our mission is clear: to maximize material recovery, reduce costs and provide complete transparency,” said Clark. “Our facility is not just a recycling center for PV panels; it is a tool for the solar industry to efficiently meet compliance, ESG and sustainability objectives.”
Solar eWaste Solutions plans to recycle all parts of the solar panel and bring recycled silicon back into the domestic supply chain.
“I have supported recycling operations and refining processes for many years,” Clark said. “The launch of this facility is an opportunity to integrate these learnings into a solution that delivers unparalleled value to the solar industry.”
