The inverters use a silicon carbide metal-oxide-half conductor Veld-Effect Transistor for high power conversion capacity.
SMA America announced that it has released the Sunny Central Storage Up-S, a raster scale battery inverter, now available in the United States.
The inverter is designed for large-scale storage projects and has a silicon carbide metal-oxide-Half-Half-Half-Half-Half transistor transistor (SIC) MOSFET technology, of which the company said that the efficiency of high power conversion and scheduling options supports.
The inverter supports a maximum of 4,600 kVA without a power driven at 95 degrees F. It has an efficiency of more than 99.2%, supporting more power will be less installed battery capacity requirements.
“As large -scale energy storage becomes an increasingly critical part of the modernization of the schedule, utilities and developers need solutions that maximize efficiency, reduce costs and improve scheduling stability,” said Jay Arghestani, director of large -scale sales, technology and marketing for SMA America.
SMA said that the inverter supports dynamic grid support, including during peak demand for electricity and a robust power stack topology that supports the Foutrit through possibilities.
The device is cooled by the company’s opticool air cooling system. It has inverters -based slowness and improved short -circuit ratios, to support the power reliability during scheduling disorders. SMA said that overload options are available for scheduling applications of the device. The inverter also has a focus on minimizing harmonic emissions, which, according to SMA, supports compatibility with challenging raster circumstances.
SMA said the inverter was launched in the US after successful activities in Australia.
“The new Sunny Central Storage Up-S supplies on all fronts, combining advanced SIC MOSFET technology with advanced scheduling possibilities for supporting powerful, scalable storage projects,” said Arghestani.
The new raster scale battery inverter joins SMAs Series of solar and storage products on Utility scaleIncluding centralized inverters for generating solar energy, management equipment for power plants and related software, storage of battery energy and more.
SMA has a history of more than 132 GW of sunsters that have been installed worldwide for the past 20 years. It has its head office in Niestetal, Germany.
