Chinese solar panel manufacturer JinkoSolar has unveiled a new series of solar panels based on tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon).
According to the manufacturer, the Tiger Neo 3.0 modules have an energy conversion efficiency of 24.8% and a bifacility factor of more than 85%.
The new products are available in two versions with a power of 495 W and 670 W. The first panel is intended for applications in residential systems, while the second is designed for utility-scale projects.
The panels come with a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty. The degradation in the first year is reported to be 1% and an annual linear degradation rate of 0.4% is indicated.
“The Tiger Neo 3.0 series has a lower open-circuit voltage and a higher short-circuit current, which contributes to a lower BOS than its counterparts,” JinkoSolar added, without providing further technical details.
