InensEnergy announced that commercial activities started in the 300 MW Delilah I Solar Energy Center in Lamar and Red River Counties, Texas. WEC Energy Group is the majority owner of Delilah I.
The energy generated from Delilah I Solar is purchased by Honda Motor Co. (200 MW) and Tesla (100 MW) via virtual electricity purchase agreements (VPPAs) and is delivered to the local schedule.
“Landowners and the larger local community played an important role in the ability of Inenserty to achieve commercial activities at Delilah I, to create good jobs for Texans and to work together with WEC and Automotive giants such as Honda and Tesla to get more American energy to add the schedule, “said Bristi Cure, senior VP of renewable development for Inenserty. “As the demand for electricity grows, Inenserty appreciates any opportunity to support the activities of our customers with affordable, reliable, clean energy solutions that also generate a meaningful economic impact for Americans in our project communities.”
