ONGC has started accepting bids for setting up 1 GW of hybrid wind-solar projects (500 MW of solar plus 500 MW of wind power) for captive consumption.
The projects can be built anywhere in India as long as they are connected to the inter-state transmission system. These must be carried out turnkey.
The successful bidder will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and commissioning of the hybrid wind-solar project, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance for 10 years.
The commissioning period of the project is 36 months from the award of the contract.
