The Spanish Nut Iberrola has started setting the first phase of the Valdecañas pumping station near Cáceres, in the autonomous community of Extremadura.
The completed Hydroelectric site has a generation capacity of 225 MW Plus a hybrid battery of 15 MW/7.5 m
Iberdrola said that the Project used existing infrastructure on the site, including electricity transmission lines, and the levels of the Valdecañas and Torrejón-Tajo reservoirs did not have to change. The fact that the work has been purely electromechanical ensures that the minimum impact on the environment has had.
