The Greek government on Friday published details of the country’s third standalone, front-of-the-meter grid-scale battery energy storage auction.
The auction aims at 200 MW of battery storage capacity, 100 MW less than initially requested when the subsidy program for this form of energy storage was announced.
The auction must be completed by December 15, 2024 and the awarded projects must be connected to the electricity grid by April 30, 2026, according to the announcement in the government gazette.
