Fronius has announced that its GEN24 string inverter, which has won several awards in Europe, has now been developed for the North American market.
“We are excited to launch the Fronius GEN24 Roadshow on June 20, which will introduce solar installers in the US to the new Fronius GEN24 inverter,” said Richard Baldinger, director of sales and marketing at Fronius USA.
Shadow reduction
Even with shaded PV modules, the integrated Dynamic Peak Manager ensures that the Fronius GEN24 delivers the highest possible energy yield, while the intelligent and highly efficient MPP tracking algorithm in this system eliminates the need for DC optimizers. This not only results in lower costs due to fewer system components, but also minimizes installation and maintenance costs.
The Fronius GEN24 adapts to all mounting conditions and locations, both indoors and outdoors. Thanks to the innovative SuperFlex design, the inverter also offers flexibility in system planning and ensures the highest yields, even on complex roofs. Thanks to the wide input voltage range, the Fronius GEN24 can also achieve efficient generation with different roof orientations.
“With the Fronius GEN24, our customers benefit from impressive efficiency and reliability. Our inverter delivers unparalleled energy yields even on the most complex roofs and, thanks to the Dynamic Peak Manager, does not require DC optimizers even when shade is involved. This is photovoltaic technology that makes sense for everyone; simple, efficient and future-proof,” says Martin Hackl, Global Director Sales and Marketing at Fronius International.
Other possibilities
The performance of the inverter is strongly temperature dependent. That is why the Fronius GEN24 is equipped with efficient Active Cooling Technology. Thanks to active cooling, Fronius inverters last longer and deliver the best possible performance, even at high temperatures.
The GEN24 also offers an integrated basic backup power function called PV Point as standard. The most important electrical consumers in the home (such as a telephone charger or WIFI routers) can be supplied with energy via a special emergency socket. In the future, the Fronius GEN24 will also be able to provide backup power and provide a house with solar energy in the event of a power outage.
Software upgrade Fronius UP.storage, which turns the Fronius GEN24 into a hybrid inverter, will be available soon. This means that the inverter hardware does not need to be replaced if a battery storage system is added later.
The Fronius inverter is easy to install and connect thanks to 180° screws and plug-in spring terminals. The connection area also offers enough space for any additional components that may be needed in the future. The Fronius GEN24 is seamlessly integrated into the digital world of Fronius solutions. Whether planning, commissioning, monitoring or service: Fronius offers digital support at every step throughout the entire lifespan of the inverter. With the Fronius Solar.start app, commissioning is particularly easy in just three simple steps.
Fronius kicks off GEN24 Roadshow on June 20 to educate installers and distributors about the new product.
