The Home Depot has partnered with Sunnova Energy International to be the sole provider of solar and battery storage services in home improvement storefronts in the United States. This working agreement provides consumers with access to Sunnova Adaptive Home energy offerings in more than 2,000 Home Depot stores.
“We are thrilled to become the exclusive provider of home solar and battery storage services for The Home Depot, a company that shares our commitment to delivering an unparalleled customer experience,” said Michael Grasso, executive VP and Chief Revenue Officer at Sunnova. “Our goal is to make clean, affordable and reliable energy services more accessible to everyone. As energy rates continue to rise across the country, weather patterns worsen, and remote work becomes more common, the need for resilient, affordable, and reliable home energy is non-negotiable. We understand that rethinking the way you power your home is a critical decision, and now shoppers at The Home Depot stores nationwide will have easy access to Sunnova’s solar and storage offerings.”
In 2021, Sunnova entered 100 Home Depot stores in critical hurricane-prone areas such as Florida, Virginia and Maryland to offer customers access to Sunnova’s SunSafe solar and battery storage service. Building on this venture, Sunnova expanded to Puerto Rico in 2022, making SunSafe solar and battery storage services available in all The Home Depot stores on the island. In 2023, Sunnova expanded with The Home Depot to 15 markets, with approximately 400 stores nationwide.
Sunnova will leverage the local expertise of its dealer network to staff stores and help customers at The Home Depot start their clean energy journey.
