This edition of Projects weekly Highlights Solriver and DC Green Bank Breaking Ground on new solar projects in North Carolina and Washington, DC, while the new EVladers influence the community of Davis California. Read on to find out more about these projects in Solar Project News.
The construction has started SOLRIVER CAPITAL‘S 7 MW Longleaf Solar Project in Davie County, North Carolina. The investment company for renewable energy established in Denver has taken over the project as a developmentactive way, ended the remaining development work and brought the project to be noted (NTP). The project will be owned by and will be operated as part of the larger Carolinas portfolio of the company.
“When we bought the Longleaf project, it was not yet completely ready to build,” said Riley Sullivan, Executive VP at Solriver Capital. “Fortunately we have a good playbook to complete the development and have projects built.”

Cool factor: The project uses Safe-Harbor panels that were purchased and delivered in 2023. Being eligible for Safe Harbor, these panels are stored in a warehouse in North Carolina and were deployed in this project, as well as several other projects that have been built in the past two years. Panel deliveries have recently been completed on the Longleaf site.
Once ready, Solriver will have brought a dozen solar projects online in the Carolinas, a total of around 100 MW -generating capacity. Longleaf -Zonne -Zon is expected to become operational in Q2 2025. The company is also building the Williams project, a 6 MW installation that is expected to be online as Longleaf around the same time.

Other green elements include highly efficient insulation, energy-efficient devices and lighting and construction envelope upgrades. The building is designed to comply with Enterprise Green Communities Certification Plus, one of the highest standards for sustainable buildings. In addition to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system funded by DC Green Bank, the development includes a solar system on the roof that will generate an estimated 21,000 kWh annually, reducing carbon emissions.
The project will first be financed under the Department of Housing and Community Development’s Long-Term Reentry Housing and Services Pilot Grant of the long-term long-term. In 2018, the DC Council approved the financing for the Grant program pilot to provide immediate housing and services to returning citizens. Solar Microgrid EV charging stations added to California City Park
Paired force has installed its pairtree Solar-driven electric vehicle (EV) charging station on Playfields Park in Davis, California. This is the second charging station that brings Pairtree to the city, with its unique solar Microgrid technology for free and sustainable charging for the community.
“The aim of making electric vehicles accessible to everyone requires scalable solutions that can be used quickly at locations where there is little or no grid,” said Tom McCalmont, CEO of Paired Power.
In comparison with traditional EV chargers, the Pairtree system offers solar integration to make off-grid effect possible, so that reliable charge is guaranteed even during power failure and contributes to energy savings. Moreover, the design of the system ensures a fast, one -day installation.

Cool factor: The Playfields Park Pairtree has two EV charging ports and can provide a loading speed of level 2 of a maximum of 7.7 kW for one vehicle or 4 kW per vehicle for two vehicles that charge simultaneously. The Paired Power software ensures that 99.7% charge uptime. The chargers at Playfields Park are offered to the public for free.
“The installation on Playfields Park is an exciting development for Davis,” said Mayor Bapu Vaitla, Davis. The installation is part of the Electryy Yolo initiative of the city, which aims to expand public access to EV -chargers.
