The Canadian PV manufacturer-integrated PV manufacturer has launched semi-transparent and opaque Solar PV reling systems for balconies or walkways, for retrofit or new buildings. The products are supplied with supportive beams, hidden cabling and a choice of mounting systems.
The Canadian building-integrated PV manufacturer Mitrex launched SolarRail Solar PV reling systems for various residential and commercial building applications, such as balconies from apartments or office entrance.
The product line from MitRex Solarrail is available as a transparent or an opaque model of 60% and comes with a support bar, hidden power-bar cabling, and is available with a post-and-CAP design or as a basic shoe system to offer it Finished structure.
The 105 W railing is a transparent model of 60% based on 20 bifacial monocrystalline solar cells with an opening of 50 mm between cells. The opaque model is 390 W with 72 cells and 2 mm openings between cells.
The Solarrail has a size of 1,219 mm x 996 mm and weighs 38 kg. The total thickness is 51 mm. According to the manufacturer, the efficiency of the module varies from 22.0% to 22.5%.
The opaque version of the solar rail product, such as the existing line of BIPV products from Mitrex, can be adjusted with a series of colors and finishes, such as a wooden fast pattern, and look-alike patterns for natural granite, stucco, red brick, slate, limestone and limestone and marble.
The glass face is low iron glass with 3.2 mm with a 6 mm thick rear glass. Maximum system voltage is 1,000 V and the warranty of product material is 25 years. The Mitrex SolarRail panels are suitable for retrofit or new construction projects and can, for example, be installed on balconies from buildings in the middle to high nearby or past raised walkways in commercial and public buildings. The products are certified for both solar and construction code standards.
