The pre-manufactured unit of Mesocore, a manufactured housing specialist established in Florida, is a 5.4 mx 7.3 m house with one bedroom that the company says that the fully off-grid can work.
The house, which is supplied on the construction site as a brand new container of 6 m, is powered by 14 Panasonic Evertt 400 W Solar modules mounted on the roof with an MPP Solar inverter. Energy is stored in two 10 kW lithium ion batteries from Dawnice.
Built on eight concrete pillars or a plate, the small house with one bedroom uses LED lighting. It also has five insulated windows and an HVAC system with a heat pump.
Mesocore said it can be built in three weeks and that the house meets and surpasses the building and wind codes of Florida “and is also an international business code. A spokesperson for Mesocore told PV Magazine USA That it also “looks like it meets the title 24 codes of California”.
Mesocore calls this small house the ‘advanced home’, because the solar-plus storage, rainwater collection integrates and offers optional smart home functions. The price for the modular house starts at $ 120,000.
