Panacol, a German glue supplier, has developed a new UV glue that is specially designed for folile amination of PV systems based on organic and perovskite.
Vitralit UH 1411 is a hybrid epoxyhars-acrylate glue that heals with UV light. Panacal said it can also be cured by a combination of UV or visible light and heat after applying, which makes accurate curing possible, even in potential shadow zones.
The company said in a statement that once healed, Vitalit UH 1411 is strong, flexible and very resistant to influences of the environment and media, with superior adhesion to standard barriers and films used in flexible photovoltaic modules. It is marketed as an optimized solution for integrating flexible solar cells into modern indoor concepts.
“The glue strength can be maintained, even after high exposure to temperature and humidity,” said Panacol. “The glue is also transparent and non-lying, which ensures optimum light absorption and a long service life for the PV modules.”
The company has provided additional technical details about those of the product datasheet.
Panacol said that the newest product announcement follows the launch of September 2024 from Elecolit 3648, a conductive glue designed for flexible electrical contacts on temperature-sensitive organic and perovskiet-zonne devices.
