KinematicsA specialist for motion control completed his acquisition of P4QA company that specializes in Solar Tracker controllers, industrial automation, sensors and cloud-based monitoring. By integrating the Electronics portfolio of P4Q – including more than 1 million solar controllers that have been used at 2,400 solar stands worldwide – with the installed base of Kinematics of 2.9 million solar actuators, the combined company is the world’s largest supplier of motion control technology For Solar -Trackers who support more than 134 GW trackers of solar installations worldwide.
P4Q produces full-stack electronics, including the Tracker Controls brand, Suntrack, which will supplement the Kinematica factory systems. With this acquisition, Kinematics can offer a complete solution for the movement technology of the Zonnettracker, the simplifying of design integration and delivery for OEMs for solar freaks.
“This acquisition creates a raised scale, extensive global support and uniform solutions for motion control,” said John Payne, CEO of Kinematics. “By combining our strengths, we set new standards for intelligent technology for following solar energy. Our extensive portfolio of solutions will improve the production of the solar factory, increase reliability and improve the value to speed up the growth and acceptance of solar energy on a global scale. “
The acquisition builds on the recent progress of Kinematics in Motion Control, including the ST-series factuators launched in 2024, who have a maintenance-free design and up to 50% more retaining torque in a smaller form factor than previous actuatorm models.
“Our integration in Kinematics will improve our company and create new opportunities for our team. Innovation is in our DNA, and we will continue to offer disturbing solutions to our customers, as well as excellent service, “says Aitor Alapont, CEO of P4Q.
